What Duck Done by Tim Tindall, presented by Bass Is Bodacious
"What Duck Done" is a spiral-bound book by Tim Tindall containing thirty-three transcribed bass lines as played by legendary bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn. Included are many of Duck's more well-known works with artists such as Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, Carla & Rufus Thomas, Booker T. & the M.G.s, Freddie King, Albert King, Muddy Waters and others. Also Included in the book are an in-depth analysis of Duck's playing, a discography, anecdotes from many of Duck's peers, and a brief biography.

Our package also includes two CDs which contain all transcriptions played in their entirety. The CDs are mixed with the bass to the left-side and all accompaniment to the right-side. This allows the listener, by using their balance control, to "solo" out the bass parts or to play along with the accompaniment.

Since the release of the book, in October of 1995, we've enjoyed an overwhelmingly positive response through sales and print. In fact, on the strength of a simple favorable "New Products" write-up in Bass Player Magazine, we've sold thousands of copies to buyers as far away as Brazil, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Germany, Austria, Poland, Italy, France, England, Hong Kong and Japan.

In addition, an ever increasing number of private instructors and music schools have found our book to be an invaluable teaching aid.

Fortunately, Duck still remains active touring and recording. He can be heard with artists such as the Blues Brothers, John Fogerty, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Booker T. & the M.G.s. Hopefully, we'll be hearing Duck's unmistakable sound and feel for years to come.
